Ornamental value and landscape use: While the purple salvias are a staple plant in many of our landscape projects, we enjoy mixing in pink versions like this lovely pink profusion salvia. A hardy perennial, pink profusion salvia tolerates salt, resists deer and rabbits, and attracts pollinators. Both foliage and flowers on pink profusion salvia are fragrant, making it a choice plant for borders, containers, and flower gardens. They also look nice planted in large sweeps.
We recommend planting salvia in full sunlight with good soil that drains well. We also recommend cutting back blooms to encourage re-blooming throughout the entire season. The pink blooms on pink profusion make a nice contrast against the darker pink calyxes and stems, which make the plant appear as though it is still blooming after the flowers have faded.
If you are looking to add roses to your garden, but are hesitant because of their reputation for high maintenance, we encourage you to try knockout roses.
If you’re looking to create a live alternative to traditional fencing, but have limited space, we suggest green Giant Arborvitae.
A versatile and easy-to-grow shrub, Kodiak black bush honeysuckle reflects a dark burgundy/black hue that is irresistible to the eye.
Commonly known as Lenten Rose, Molly’s White Hellebore has recently become an LCbW favorite for the shady garden.
