Residential Patio Walkway/Path Paving Brick Concrete Brick Decorative Wall

It's always a challenge creating functional spaces on a small footprint, but if you get a little creative it can be done! This homeowner wanted to create a small functional living space. The challenge on this site was the grade change between the back door, the garage door, and the existing lawn. In order to create a cohesive space, we elevated the main patio to reduce the number of necessary steps out the back door. Then we created a large stairway from the patio to the walkway that would meet the garage door on the lower level. Space was extremely limited and difficult to access using our equipment plus we had to deal with an existing mature tree. This situation prevented us from making any major grade changes.

The finished product resulted in a functional intimate space that appeared as though it had always been there! We used Unilock products on this site including Old Quarry wall block in the color granite, Beacon Hill Flagstone pavers in the color named Bavarian Blend, and Hollandstone Premier pavers as an accent. We chose the color, charcoal, for the pavers.
