On June 20, 2024, LCbW partnered with Easterseals, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring the well-being of children with challenges. To bring awareness to autism, Anthony Louis of the Rockford Ice Hogs hosted an off-ice event that included coaching children on his secrets of the game. Gathered in a local gymnasium, Louis discussed sportsmanship, healthy eating, and the importance of stretching your muscles. The collaboration between LCbW and Easterseals highlighted the power of community and the impact of sports in promoting well-being among children with autism.
This fundraising event supports two important organizations: St. Jude's Hospital and the Easterseals Autism Program.
